Joint Admission Matriculation Board(JAMB) has said it will deal with Institution that exploit post Unified Tertiary And Matriculation Exam (UTME) candidate adding those who have paid more than the HME stipulated fee of N2000 should report to them for investigation.
The Federal Government of Nigeria had ordered universities and polytechnics in the country not to charge more than N2000 for post UTME examinations but most institutions have declined to comply.
Federal Ministry of Education had cancelled the the exercise alleging it was used to extort parents whose child/ward is seeking admission into higher institution.
The ministry later reinstated the exercise, allowing schools to conduct the examination but under their supervisory role.
In a series of tweet, JAMB called on students who have paid more than the sum to foward evident of payment to them adding that the board is looking into such issues.
