In this topic, we are going to examine how Pneumonia can be easily treated at home to relief symptoms, we will not do without examining what this Pulmonary infection really is, it cause and symptoms, including prevention. It is estimated that this disease is responsible for  one - sixth of all death in the United State alone.

The epithelial surface of the lung are constantly exposed to contaminated air, pharyngeal flora are also regularly aspirated during sleep,  other common lung diseases renders the lung parenchyma cell vulnerable to virulent organisms, ever wondered how we survive? The secrete here is a respiratory defence mechanism that extends from the nasopharyngeal up to the alveola airspaces.

It can also be contacted directly from another person or through lingering illness. sometimes, the immune system fights off these infections, but if the body contains a enough germs, they overcome the immune system and set up worse illness.

What is Pneumonia?
Pneumonia is an infectious disease of the lung caused by infection of the respiratory airway, it may occur as an acute, fulminant clinical disease or as a chronic disease with a more protracted course.

The histologic  spectrum of this disease of the airway may vary from a fibronopurulent alveola exudate seen in acute form of the infection, to mononuclear interstitial infiltrates in viral and other atypical pneumonias to granulomas and cavitations seen in many of the chronic forms.

The acute form of the infection can occur as one or two anatomic and radiographic patterns, refereed to as Bronchopneumonia. This results from an initial infection of the bronchi and bronchioles with extension into adjacent  alveoli. By contrast, in lobolar pneumonia,  the contagious airspace of part or all of the lobe are homogeneously filled with an exudate, that can be seen on radiograph as lobar or segimental consolidation.

The most common bacteria implicated in this disease is the Streptococcus pneumoniae, which is responsible fr 90% lobal pneumonia. It is difficult to  anatomically distinguish between Lobolar pneumonia and Bronchopnemonia, this is because, many organisms presents with either of he two patterns of distribution also, confluence bronchopneumonia can be hard to distinguish radiologically from  Lobolar form.  Other causes of this disease includes, virus, fungi and other harmful organisms including unhealthy lifestyles.

HOME REMEDY FOR SYMPTOMS OF  PNEUMONIA
Common symptoms of Pneumonia includes

  1. Cough :- A cough may develop early on in the lifespan of pneumonia when the body is trying to expel fluid from the lungs to get rid of the infection. The severity of the cough can be easily reduced  by taking the followings
  •  Herbal tea such as peppermint or eucalyptus which help soothe a scratchy throat.
  • fenugreek seeds, a tea made from ground fenugreek seeds may ease a persistent cough.

Chopping up a thumb-sized piece of either root and boiling it in a few cups of water may provide enough tea to last throughout the day.

    4. Fever:- A high fever is another risk in people with pneumonia, and keeping a fever down is vital to avoiding complications.

    - Hydration

When a person has a fever, keeping the body full of liquids and electrolytes is essential to prevent dehydration. Drinking iced beverages or eating homemade ice popsicles may help hydrate the body and cool it down.

    - Fenugreek tea

Making tea from fenugreek seeds may encourage a person to sweat, which could reduce their temperature.

    - Over-the-counter (OTC) pain relievers

Some OTC drugs like ibuprofen (Advil) may help reduce symptoms, including fever and pain.

    - Lukewarm bath or compress

Soaking the body in lukewarm water may help to cool it down. If taking a bath is not possible, towels or washcloths dunked in lukewarm water and rung out can be applied to the body to help it cool. Once the towels warm up, they can be dipped in the water and reapplied.

    5.  Shortness of breath:- shortness of breath is a symptom of respiratory infections, as in the case of pneumonia. The followings can be effectively used to manage  shortness of breath
  • Caffeine

Drink a small amount of caffeine, such as a cup of coffee or black or green tea, Caffeine opens up the airways in the lungs, which could help a person feel better satisfied by their breathing.
